“The Perfect Stress Reboot”
Have you ever had to restart your PC after the hard drive froze? You hit ‘Control+Alt+Delete’ to reboot the operating system and get everything running smoothly again. Your human computer (Nerve System) needs a periodic rebooting too.
Your Nerve System gets overwhelmed from daily stress. An urgent work deadline, unexpected family crisis or any inconvenient change in your routine are unsolicited stresses (spyware or a virus) that bog down your nerves. The result – your body slows down, runs sluggish and eventually “freezes up” with an illness. Getting a Chiropractic adjustment is like hitting the Control+Alt+Delete buttons. It clears your Nerve System of unwanted stress and gets you running fast again.
The stress our grandparents experienced in a week, today we get in just 24 hours! If you’re not purging the tension from your Nerve System on a regular basis, your hard drive could crash. Get ‘rebooted’ routinely with Chiropractic care and stay ahead of the failure. (via theweeklysticky.com)

National Stress Awareness Month
April is National Stress Awareness Month and most of us are experiencing increasing stress levels. We know we should reduce our level of stress, but it can seem too hard to do when we’re just trying to keep up with everything we have to do. We may even be aware of the stress statistics like:
Chronic stress exacerbates health, communication and performance problems
Employees with high stress have 46% higher health costs (JOEM 2009)
61% of the workforce is impacted by chronic stress, resulting in $300 billion of lost productivity (HERO).
We may even hear our inner voice whispering to change our ways or we may be the next statistic. It’s not surprising that Norman Anderson, CEO of the American Psychological Association said, “Stress could easily become our next public health crisis.” The APA’s Stress in America survey found that many Americans caught in a vicious cycle of managing stress in unhealthy ways, but lacking willpower and time to change. Causes of Subluxations
The primary purpose of Holistic Chiropractic is to locate and correct Subluxations. If you break the word down you get: SUB = less, LUX = light, and ATION = a condition. It literally means a state of less ‘light’ or energy flow caused when excess stress distorts the circulation of Life energy through the spinal cord. Dr. Jay’s unique Chiropractic Adjustment addresses this spinal cord stress, eases pressure off the entire nerve system and restores the proper flow of Life energy through you.
There are many causes of subluxations, which fall into three broad categories. Here are some of the causes our clients have mentioned:  Read More

Take Your Dog To The Office And Stress Less
Any dog owner will tell you that they’re a lot less stressed out when they’re with their dog. Even at work. And now science agrees.
People who took their dogs to work in an office in Greensboro, N.C., had lower stress levels through the work day, as reported on self-reported test.
The employees who hadn’t brought their dogs to work said their stress levels increased through the work day. So did the non-pet owners. But the dog owners said they stayed mellow as the day went on.
The researchers say that dogs in the workplace may help buffer work stress, and make the job more satisfying for non-dog owners, too. Their results were published in the International Journal of Workplace Health Management.  Read More
